Sonrise Christian High School is committed to ensuring the
highest quality Christian education. We believe that
socio-economic conditions in Ghana have made it so that
excellence in the WASSCE is the safest way to better life.
Students who are not able to pass the WASSCE and get into
college essentially have little or no options left for them.
We are committed to ensuring that students who pass through
Sonrise Christian High School succeed in the WASSCE but more
importantly, grow to be thinkers. Our programs are designed
to challenge students to reach their highest potential.
Honor Roll Students
Students who are able to score a minimum of aggregate
10 in any term make it to our honor roll for that term.

Exemption from all grounds work
Free textbooks
Pocket money
Honor roll students also represent the
school at all external functions.
Academic Departments
Students of Sonrise Christian High School may choose
from one of four academic departments. Our departments are:
General Science, Business(Accounting Option), General Arts I
and General Arts II.
Every student, irrespective of the field of studies, would
have to take four core subjects of English, Mathematics,
Social Studies and integrated Science. First year students
starting the four-year program would have to add information
technology (ICT) to the core subjects.
General Science Department:
Courses include: Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and
Elective Mathematics
Business Department:
Courses include: Accounting, Economics,
Costing/Elective Math and Business Management
General Arts I Department:
Courses include: English Literature, Ewe, French and
Christian Religious Studies
General Arts II Department:
Courses include: Economics, Government (Political
Science), Christian Religious Studies/Elective Math and
Geography
Classrooms
Our classrooms are very spacious and provide our
students with a comfortable learning environment. Every
student sits on a table-chair combo
and all teachers write on white boards with markers.
Sonrise Christian High School is blessed
with three very well equiped Science Laboratories. Our
physics and chemistry Labs are located on our campus at Mile
48. Our Biology lab is located on our grade school campus.
